Kouklia Village is located between Paphos and Limassol, and is well signposted either from the motorway or the old road.
The museum, which is an old Medieval fortress, stands proud on the hill as you approach the village, and signs of excavation in progress around the old church. From the museum entrance you pass through the remains of Aphrodite's Temple. - Kouklia having once been the capital of Cyprus was an important place, where Kings and nobility came to worship the Goddess, Aphrodite.
The village is built around the square, with numerous twisty narrow roads in certain areas. (all usually passable by car) There is nothing hurried about Kouklia - it's friendly population make visitors - long or short term, most welcome.
